EV2 Sportswear QRL HostPlus Cup Season Update

As the 2024 Hostplus Cup reaches its final stretch, with just two rounds remaining in the regular season, we're proud to reflect on our partnerships with 6 of the 15 Hostplus Cup clubs. Each team has shown remarkable dedication, and we’re excited to share their progress.

Northern Pride

Our long-standing partner, Northern Pride, has dominated the leaderboard for most of the season. Under the leadership of Captain Kyle Schneider, the team has only faced three losses, a testament to their strength and strategy. Schneider has also been pivotal in defence, leading the club’s tackle count. On the offensive side, Will Partridge has made his mark with 13 tries, while Thomas Duffy shines as both the club’s and the competition’s top scorer in points and goals. It’s been a privilege to work with Northern Pride since its inception in 2007, witnessing its growth and success.

Norths Devils

The Norths Devils have had a stellar season, currently sitting in second place with 32 points, just six points shy of Pride. Captain Jack Ahearn, alongside the coaching staff, deserves immense credit for this achievement. Kierran Moseley has led the team’s defence with the most tackles, while Gerome Burns has taken the lead in points and goals. Manse Kaho, who tops both the club and competition leaderboards for tries, has been a standout. Our partnership with the Devils, established in 2018, continues to thrive as they build on their success.

Wynnum Manly

One of our more recent partnerships, Wynnum Manly, has been nothing short of impressive this season. Captain Luke Gale, with his extensive experience, leads the club in tackles, while Bryce Donovan and Sione Hopoate have excelled in goals, points, and tries, respectively. Founded in 1914, Wynnum Manly’s long-standing tradition of excellence is evident, and it’s been a pleasure to support them since 2019.

Central Queensland Capras

Currently in 8th place, the Central Queensland Capras, led by Captain Jack Madden, have shown great potential with 26 points this season. With a strong chance to break into the top four in the upcoming rounds, the Capras have been a team to watch. Lachlan Hubner has led the team in tackles, Trey Brown in both points and goals, and Bob Tenza in tries. Our relationship with the Capras began in their first year in 2013, and we’ve proudly renewed our partnership since 2022.

Townsville Mendi Blackhawks

The Townsville Mendi Blackhawks have fought hard to secure their 9th place standing after a challenging start to the season. Captain Kyle Laybutt’s leadership on defence has been crucial, topping the tackle count, while Mathew Wright and Dudley Dotoi lead the team in points, goals, and tries. Being neighbours to this club, our connection with the Blackhawks is deeply personal, and we’ve proudly supported them since their founding in 2016.

Western Clydesdales

The Western Clydesdales, based in Toowoomba, have faced a tough season but have shown remarkable resilience and determination. Corey Fenning has been a standout, leading the club in goals, points, and tries, while Takai Mokohar has been a defensive powerhouse with the most tackles. As one of our newest partners, starting in 2023, we’re excited to continue this journey with the Clydesdales and support their future endeavours.

Thank you to all the teams we’ve had the privilege of working with. Your hard work and dedication inspire us, and we look forward to continuing our partnerships as we all strive for excellence on and off the field.
